Let’s EAT!!!

We LOVE to EAT

If there is one thing in the world we love to do, it’s eat a good meal! Whether we cook it at home, go to a fast food restaurant, visit friend and family, visit a fancy restaurant or even travel far from home, we always love finding the best food around.

During the COVID pandemic, we discovered a new love. We replaced our traditional grill with a Pit Boss Smoker. It didn’t take us long before we started playing the game, “Can You Smoke That?“. What we found was, that the answer is almost always a resounding, YES! Within a couple of weeks, added a Blackstone Griddle to the mix. Before we knew what was happening, we found ourselves grilling out 4-5 nights a week. The desire to be outside to enjoy a good meal caused us to upgrade our deck with new furniture and lighting. There was no doubt we had found our happy place.

Once things started to open back up, we found ourselves going out to eat at least a couple of different times throughout the week. We started trying new places again and visiting some of our old favorites. Every time we went out, we found ourselves rating our food, taking pictures of it and talking about it over and over again. We were doing that with the meals we cooked at home too. For months we have talked about starting to do posts and reviews about all the great meals we have.

So here we are to introduce you to our Food Blog. All four of us plan on making regular posts about the meals we cook, maybe share some recipes and to share the meals we eat out. Sometimes, each of us may share about the same meal. Each of us have different tastes and likes, so we don’t always agree on what is good. We have broad tastes, some of our favorites are Italian, Moroccan, Brazilian, and of course a good old steak or pork chop. If you know me, you know that my favorite meal of all time, was my Grandmother Kahlenbeck’s homemade Chicken and Noodles with a side of corn and peas. Shana will make them occasionally and my Mom and Aunt make them at least once a year.

Since we are new to hosting a website, who knows whether we will get it right but we are going to give it our best shot. It is my intention to make so that each type of meal is categorized by type and either cooked at home, served at friends or family or from a restaurant. I just ask that you bear with us in the beginning as we learn to navigate the ins-and-outs of hosting a website.

Talk to you soon and LET’S EAT!
